DrenchyourselfinwordsunspokenLiveyourlifewitharmswideopenTodayiswhereyourbookbeginsTherestisstillunwritten29Oct2005:we were supposed to meet the rest at 12noon. all tht waking up at 7 in the morning's became a habit so this day when i could sleep in... i woke up at 7am. anyways woke up and watched a little korean tv and drank the milk last night at the 7-eleven. we then decided to walk around the area.
we walked into a
bookshop and gave up cos we couldnt find anything we could read other thn travel guides. then walked to the
park nearby.. saw a few people jogging.
this if i'm not wrong is the Hangang river.. tht's probably the highway and their train service.and we walked into their
underpass leading to the train station.
this is not an unusual sight .. but this is the korean wheelchair mover. muahaha!it's in the underpass btw.Back to our roomm. did last min packing before meeting the rest..
this is in our room... a emergency kit.. in case of fire and whatsoever. the pictures on the cover do show something outrageous. climbing down with a rope? you've gotta be kidding me.. but at least they're clever to place this in every room.. and well's in an emergency, who cares about heights.so we met the rest.. and went for
lunch. our very last meal in korea... i'm so used to korean food at this time that i can start muching kimchi like it's not hot and sour and stuff.. and the food is seriously delicious. this time it was hotpot.
then we did some
last minute shopping.. and that place's got almost everything.
tht's also when all tht boxes and packaging came about.. cos people just bought and bought that it wasnt enough to put in bags and so they boxed all the stuff they bought.. but seriously there are too much stuff here.
the building where we had our lunch and also those few storeys to shop.then we hopped onto the bus and
headed for the airport.
took my last glimpses of korea and then said our goodbyes and then boarded the plane..
home sweet home..bbye koreatook off (Seoul-Singapore):
4.30pm (korean time)
arrived in Singapore Changi Airport:
9.48pm(sg time)
the end of 8 days.
bits:
-through the whole trip took an aeroplane for 4 times..
-korean taichi ginseng is neutral (not heaty and not cooling) and the seeds are scattered at the top of the mountain and left to grow and is much better and more nutritious than the american ginseng.
-usually those that are used to make ginseng tea and sweets are the 'moustache' or xu1 part and not the root itself.
-6 other tour members extended their trip..
-most of the airport scenes in the korean dramas are done in the departure hall. and actually it's pretty obvious. cos the departure is much bigger than the arrival hall. it's much busier too.
this is the end of my korean trip last year...
this is just a record of what happened and some of the pics of how the places i've been to look like... total no. of pics i had to look through to do this was abt 400+..
tht's a lot..
and i seriously enjoyed it.
tht place is seriously a comfortable place to be in.
the sceneries are beautiful..
=)
