1may2008 - 3may2008
so instead of, like the others, working on labour day since the pay's doubled (doubled seriously!), i went for mom's office trip thing to saigon.
thing is, i went there not knowing what to expect. cos the location's sort of exotic. i would say it feels even more exotic than bangkok. but it was much better than i thought it would be.
just so you know, some of the facts abt saigon that girls should know is that:
1. the guys have to take an exam for the universities after high school (same as sg.)
2. the ones that pass go to uni for 4 years and are exempted from ns (it's unfair)
3. and therefore, the guys that actually go to the army in vietnam are sort of labelled as the ones with no future by the girl's fathers cos they have to waste another 3 years.
and so day1:
took the plane from sg. i dont know if it's karma or just i am plain unlucky, the flight was delayed for an hour.
so we reached HCMC late.
and it poured.
so it wasnt a very nice start.
first thing i realised at saigon was the wires (crazy potential fire hazards) and the number of motorists on the streets.
